Sticky uppie back hair
It does make me feel like part of me is ratting on me in advance-do you know what I mean? I should really put more spit on that area to hold the fur down then they will never know what I'm feeling.

A whiff of spring
This is me really getting a good smell outside today. Mom let me out for a few minutes (minus the harness-can you believe it?) I had a rough morning. I barfed twice after breakfast and gagged too. Dad got to clean that up. Sean said I ate way too fast. Sometimes when I get food I don't like the day before, I gobble up the food the next day as I am starving.
I tried to get on mom's lap a few times, but she was noisy and all the talking on the phone she was doing gave me a headache. I spent a lot of time under the sofa to chill.
Hey, does the fur stand up down the middle of your back like mine does?

Furry alarm clock
Now cut that out Sean!
A guy just can't seem to be left alone under the sofa when he needs to warm up or be alone! Sean took this. He thought it was funny that I look so squooshed down. And he found my cosmic catnip stash. Darn!

Piper the falling cat
Poor kitty....
It wasn't exactly the way Piper's owners hoped he would come down, but the good news is he's okay. Piper the cat had been stuck in a tree for eight days when help arrived on Monday to rescue the frisky feline. But as the cat's rescuer grew closer, Piper climbed higher. It wasn't long before a tiny branch gave way and Piper went flying 80 feet. On the way down, the cat struck a branch, which may have broken his fall. After a brief search, Piper's owner, Rodney Colvin of Summerville, South Carolina, managed to pull the cat from his hiding place underneath a car. Colvin said Piper appeared to be fine, but he took him to the vet to make sure.

I'm wired!
We cannot purr, so we are interested in how cats can do it. It turns out that domestic cats, some wild cats like pumas and mountain lions (in general, any big cat that cannot roar) and even raccoons are all able to purr. Humans happen to smile and laugh when they are happy, and dogs wag their tails. So it is not unusual for an animal to have a physical reaction to happiness. Cats show happiness by purring. They may also purr when startled or upset.
It turns out that cats have special wiring! The wiring travels from the brain to the muscles in the voice box, and this wiring is able to vibrate the muscles so that they act as a valve for air flowing past the voice box. The muscles work both during inhalation and exhalation, which creates the impression that cats can purr continuously. The air passes through the valve, which opens and closes rapidly to create the purring sound.

Ain't no cabinet high enough!
I conquered the summit (well almost-there was still food on the top shelf). I am up 5.5 feet off the floor. I am truly amazing!!
I tried to climb the empty cabinet over the stove, but managed to turn a knob and a burner was turned on. This was not cool to mom. Better stick closer to the floor in the 'extra cool' deep cabinet under the oven.
I heard I will be vanquished to the basement when these old cabinets get taken down. Oh joy!

Talk about packrats!
packrats I've heard mentioned way too often in this house! Aren't rats like mice? I think they are. So I got the door opened enough so I could get in and started to climb on this pile of stuff. Are they kidding? Where are the rats? No way could I even look for them in this mess. Here I am 'caught in the act'. Please don't let this all coming a tumbling down! I never even got a whiff of one-rats!
By the way, is that a thigh master I see? Hee hee!
