When something catches my eye
Do you other cats ever watch television? People think it's just the movement we kitties are interested in. I remember one time dad had one of those wildlife programs on and my cousins the lions were featured and they were hunting up a storm. Man, I noticed them running like they were on fire. I watched that program for a good five minutes or more. I'm a guy that notices everything. If someone scratches on the arm of the sofa, I look. When I see a lightning bug on the window screen, well that is darn fascinating.
Tv is amusement for cats too you know! We especially like the commercials showing cats eating or running around. Give us our own cable channel, will you!

Big green monster
Dad got me ready to go out with that blasted choking device. Mom was about 25 feet away and she could hear all the hassle Dad had with getting me in the harness from inside! Anyway, Dad brought me over to mom who was sitting on the green bench near the pond. I really am not crazy about that area with the water splashing and all, but I went over to be with my ma. I even decided to get up on the bench and sit next to her! She liked that.
After a while, mom was getting warm and wanted to go in. She gets me moving pretty good on that leash! As I hopped down off the bench, I did a double take! There was an ugly green thing in the grass near the pond, about half my size. I walked gingerly over to it and put out my paw to touch it. I was kinda scared. Then I decided to see if I had to kill this thing and actually touched it! It was warm from the sun and didn't move-it was a fake green frog! Whew! I was more than happy to move away from that with a tug of the leash. I stopped to look into the waterfall part of the pond first. Am I getting brave or what?

This is my yard!
Mom has a lounge chair with a cushy pad on it outside. She usually throws a towel over it because she sees hairs from another cat on the bottom of it. There's this black and white scoundrel who has the nerve to sleep on mom's chair! Anyway, mom brought the towel in to wash it and it ended up in front of the basement steps. I sniffed and sniffed that thing. You know, I kinda miss other cats, only if I can just at least sniff where they've been and don't have to share mom with them! So I got comfy on the towel and took a nap there. Mom took a photo of me still at the top of the steps. I hope someone watches me and I don't go a tumbling down!

Catnip trivia
A cat may be more inclined to use his own bed and posts if they have been rubbed with catnip.
(Workman Publishing)
And I'd like to add that this really works, especially when you bring a new bed or post into the house. I would say that the cat should like catnip. : )
